Welcome to Captainfatherjohn.com. This website is designed to inspire and encourage you to cast off the dock lines that are holding you back from experiencing the adventures of a lifetime. I am fortunate to have traveled the world many times over as well as experienced many adventures close to home. I have eaten the beating heart of a cobra in Hanoi, jumped out of a perfectly good airplane in Sydney and swam with the great white sharks in Capetown. During my travels I was rocked and rolled in the Tokyo airport during the Fukushima earthquake and tsunami and was stranded in Moscow by the volcanic ash cloud that shut down air travel all over Europe.

I have a US Coast Guard Masters License (100 ton) and many of my adventures are on the water. In 2015 - 2016 my wife Priscilla went on 6,500 mile boat cruise on our motor yacht to explore America’s Great Loop. This trip travels the river systems to the gulf around Florida up the east coast back to Chicago. We have also sailed to Cuba and Jamaica and chartered sailboats numerous times in the Caribbean and Greek isles.

I am a wedding officiant and have my own church - The Church of Blue Heaven Unorthodox. We are non denominational. I have officiated six weddings over the years including the wedding of my own daughter.
